Sports Interactive’s Football Manager (FM) series is by far the most popular and advanced sports management and simulation game. It comes as no surprise that within a day of its launch it topped the Steam charts and has had one of the most concurrent players on the platform.
In this article I’ll be covering a range of add-ons, mods and downloads that I’ve used or have had recommended to me for the latest FM 2021. Some of the are small, some are more involved, but they are all made by members of the FM community.
Real Names Fix
Due to licensing issues, FM21 contains fake names for a number of competitions, clubs and awards. With this add-on, you can fix that and enjoy FM 21 with real names. This is the most essential add-on for FM 2021.
FM21 Real Names Corrected:
- All playable clubs names from all continents
- All major leagues names
- All non-playable Europe Top Leagues club names
- Almost all minor leagues names
- All Continental, National and National Cups names
- Continental awards
- Some stadium names
This mod is an exclusive FMScout mod, so to download and install it, you need to visit their website. Make sure to follow the installation instructions carefully.
There are several logo packs available, but the one that I highly recommend is TCM 20 Logos Megapack. It has more than 57,600 logos of clubs and competitions for Football Manager 2021. It has been downloaded over 1.8 million times by countless users.
Note: Club logos are registered trademarks and/or copyright material owned by the respective football clubs. This graphic pack is only intended for personal use within the game.
How to Install the TCM 21 Logos Megapack?
Once you’ve downloaded it you’ll be presented with a “.zip” file. Extract this file to the following location “Documents » Sports Interactive » Football Manager » Graphics”.
If the “Graphics” folder doesn’t exist you can simply create it.
Once you’ve done this, load up Football Manager and go to “Preferences” and then “Interface”. Make sure you have the following two boxes ticket:
- Use caching to decrease page loading times TICKED
- Reload skin when confirming changes in Preferences TICKED
Now click “Clear Cache”
You’ll be taken out of the preferences, go back into the preferences and in the bottom right there’s a button called “Reload Button”.
There should be a box that pops up saying “loading image data for the new skin”. Once this is done your graphics should be working within the game.
Face Packs are another essential to enhance your FM 2021 experience. The Facepack which we recommend is the DF11 Faces for FM21 which includes over 142,000+ portrait styled faces!
DF11 Faces Megapack & Updates 2021 features faces for 110 playable leagues from 58 playable countries around the world of Football Manager 2021. As one of few, this faces megapack features portraits of players and staff in lower leagues as well as premier divisions. And the best part is: it’s updated on a monthly base so you get the ‘freshes’ faces for your game! Enhance the Football Manager 2021 experience with some new FM21 graphics.

No one likes fake kits, so it’s obvious that having realistic kits enhances the FM 2021 experience of the dedicated players.
FM Slovakia updates the kits regularly on their page, so we highly recommend you to download the individual league kits which you require from their website. You can find all the FC’12 kits that are made by their allstar kitmakers team for the Football Manager 2021 oficial football season 2020/21.
Since it’s only been a few days since the FM 2021 beta release, not many skins have been released. But for what’s released so far, Priisek Dark FM21 Skin v2.5 is the best one so far, in my opinion.
It is another skin available on FMScout, you can download it by clicking on the button below which will redirect you to their website.
This wraps up my top 5 FM 2021 “must-have” essential mods. You can notice most of these are graphic related mods which means there will be another article soon on FM 2021 which will cover tactics, match cameras, training planner spreadsheets and much more later on. The game still isn’t released officially and is still under beta which means not many mods are live yet. Don’t worry, the list will keep expanding on a daily basis because the FM community is massive.
Lastly, I’d like to state that the list is all according to my opinion. These all make me love my game even more. There’s plenty out there in the community you can use to enhance your game.
If you have any suggestions do let us know in the comments below. If you have tried any of the mods mentioned above, your feedback will be appreciated.
