If you’re not a fan of the default set of skins that are available in Football Manager 2021 (FM 2021), there are ways to customize the interface using custom skins – how FM looks, the colours, the fonts and the graphics.
The custom skins completely transform the interface of the game and for some it might even feel like a new game! I personally have never been a fan of the default set of skins which is why one of the first things I do is install a custom skin on a new FM release.
How To Install FM 2021 Custom Skins?
First of all, before I start listing the top 5 best Football Manager 2021 ( FM 21 ) skins, you might want to know how to install FM 2021 skins. Here’s a very quick and simple guide:
- Download the custom skin you want (mentioned below).
- Extract the files using WinRAR / 7-Zip for Windows or The Unarchiver for Mac.
- Place the extracted files into the FM 2021 skins folder.
For Windows:
C:\Users\\Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2020\skins\
For Mac:
/Users//Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2020/skins/ - Now launch FM 2021, and load the skin. You can load the skin by:
- Click on Preferences.
- Then click on the Interface section under the Advanced tab.
- Choose your skin from the dropdown menu.
- Press confirm.
Make sure to check “reload skin when confirming changes in preferences” and uncheck “use caching to decrease page loading times” before confirming the changes.
If you do not see your skin in the interface section, that means you haven’t pasted the skin files on the correct directory. If the skins folder does not exist, you can just create one.
