Cyberpunk 2077 mods ciri

It’s been almost a month since the official release of Cyberpunk 2077 and there’s no hiding that it has been a bug-riddled mess. The mods do not completely fix the broken AI mechanics or change the UI completely (yet!) but they for sure can enhance your current experience.

Note: Before you mod, please be aware that the mods mentioned below are not supported by CD Projekt Red because CDPR are going to fix those bugs in regular updates which may clash with some of the mods. So download and install Cyberpunk 2077 mods at your own risk!

Without any further due, let’s get started with the list:

Cyber Engine Tweaks

Cyber Engine Tweaks by yamashi is without any doubt one of the most popular Cyberpunk 2077 mods which includes plethora of fixes related to the performance of the game. It is a plugin that also adds some features including a console with LUA scripting support.

I personally gained around 8 FPS after installing Cyber Engine Tweaks mod for CP2077. Some notice no difference, some get a boost as high as 20!

Note: It is also a requirement for many other mods, so we highly recommend you to install Cyber Engine Tweaks mod.

Config Overhaul

Config Overhaul mod is yet another mod which improves the performance of Cyberpunk 2077. This tool allows to configure hidden settings in Cyberpunk 2077 and squeeze more FPS out. It works by generating configuration files, and will not modify executables.

You can pick out of 4 Presets, or just play around with the custom settings. You can read more about the mod on the download page.

Better Vehicle Handling

The driving mechanics present in Cyberpunk 2077 can get frustrating for the players. Better Vehicle Handling mod is an .ini configuration file which makes the handling less frustrating. The mod is non intrusive as it doesn’t modify any other files.

For example, the Kuzanagi doesn’t slide into the next realm when you are going 150kmh and use the handbrake to turn a corner anymore.

Better Minimap

The default zooming of the mini-map can be frustrating for the player-base. The mod “Better minimap” definitely improves that experience.

Options:

  • Bigger Minimap
  • Transparent Minimap
  • No Minimap Border
  • Compass Only Mode

Zoom options (Most zoomed-in => Most zoomed out):

  • Low
  • Normal
  • High
  • Ultra

The presets have the same on-foot zoom and only change vehicle zoom. The installer lets you choose both.

Alternate Crowd Behavior and other tweaks

We all know how broken the default NPC behavior and the AI in general of Cyberpunk 2077 is. Alternate Crowd Behavior mod does not(and cannot) make the crowd and traffic more complex but this mod does find a way to make the world feel a little more dynamic.

You can read more about the Alternate Crowd Behavior mod on the download page on Nexus Mods.

Save Editor

As the name suggests, the Save Editor mod for Cyberpunk 2077 lets you modify your saved game files of Cyberpunk 2077. All you have to do is to launch the save editor application, load the save file, make the changes you want and then save the changes.

Features

– Edit player stats such as level, street cred, etc.
– Save and load presets for your character’s appearance.
– Edit the quantity, flags, stats & mod tree of items in your inventory.
– Edit quest facts.
– Quick actions – dedicated controls for common actions such as making items legendary & editing money.

Better Controls Menu

Not able to change key bindings for certain actions is one of the most frustrating things in Cyberpunk 2077. Players are forced to use “F” key to interact despite the majority preferring the “E” button. Better controls menu not only fixes that, but adds an additional binding to “slow walk” and changes how dodging works. It is an essential mod which we highly recommend.

Adds options to the key bindings menu for the following commands:

  • Dodge (Disables double tap dodge in favor of a dedicated button, defaults to G because it wasn’t being used for anything)
  • Slow Walk (Hold and use your normal movement keys to walk. Defaults to the “/” key)
  • Primary Action (Default F)
  • Secondary Action (Default R)
  • A bunch of UI Navigation Buttons
  • Allows the arrow keys to be used in bindings

Arasaka Appearance Updater

One of the major disappoints about Cyberpunk 2077 is that it does not allow the users to change the looks of your character. Yes, you can’t even change your hairstyle if you want to. Arasaka Appearance Updater solves this by not only allowing you to change your hairstyle, but other facial features as well!

All you have to do is to open Arasaka Appearance Updater mod, load the save, make changes and then update the changes.

Str8up Menu

Str8up menu mod has a set of useful cheats and features for Cyberpunk 2077 like:

  • Noclip – Free fly
  • No police
  • Infinite stamina
  • Edit items, materials & money
  • Time warp
  • Teleport
  • Auto fix vehicle
..to name a few. The developer is working to add more features to the mod like godmode.

Note: It is not a standalone mod, it requires the Cyber Engine Tweaks mod (mentioned above) to be installed.

Simplified Inventory

Are you also bothered by the amount of drinks and food items you have in your inventory and have no idea what to do with them like me?

Simplified Inventory as the name suggests simplifies your inventory by automatically converting all beverages and food to a single type. You can auto use health items and process junk items.

Note: This mod also requires Cyber Engine Tweaks mod installed and it isn’t a standalone mod.

If I’ve missed any other Cyberpunk 2077 mods, do let me know in the comments below. These are the ones I could try out and would recommend.

  1. Str8up menu looks good especially with that free look mode. I’ll be trying that once(or if) I complete the main story!

  2. Can you please update the list based on the latest patch released in March end?

  3. Great list, thank you.
